On March 26, Universal Music TV  released Rhythms Del Mundo, a new album which fuses the hot Cuban sounds of Rhythms del Mundo featuring musicians from Buena Vista Social Club™ in collaboration with some of the most politically active bands around the world, including Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, U2, Franz Ferdinand, The Kaiser Chiefs, Jack Johnson and many others.

Featuring the vocals of famed Cuban vocalist Omara Portuondo, and the last ever recording of Ibrahim Ferrer, the album is from Artists Project Earth (APE), which raises money for climate change awareness and
natural disaster relief.

To keep in line with the environmental stance of the project, the album packaging is 100% bio-degradable and recyclable. This revolutionary design consists of an album disc tray and outer cardboard parcel, which forms a completely dust free and eco-friendly package.

With support from a wide variety of environmentalists such as Al Gore, Bono and Chris Martin, proceeds from the sales of Rhythms Del Mundo will go to the charity, Artists Project Earth, which supports actions against climate change.

For UK residents, the site is hosting an extremely fun online RDM ‘match the rhythm’ game. Various eco-friendly prizes are on offer for the winners.

For more information on Artists Project Earth and how the proceeds from this album will benefit charities, go to
